Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri (born 1960), commonly addressed as Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, is a Pakistani Shia Muslim cleric and community leader. He is the founder and Chairman of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), a Shia religious and political organisation in Pakistan, and since 2024 has served as a member of the Senate of Pakistan.
He received traditional Shia seminary (hawza) education in the Islamic sciences and became active as a scholar and orator within Pakistan's Shia community. Over time he emerged as one of the more prominent public figures associated with Shia religious and civic affairs in the country.
In August 2009, Jafri founded Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, serving in its senior leadership, including as Secretary General, before being elected Chairman of the organisation, a position he assumed on 15 May 2022. Under his leadership, MWM has been active in religious, social and political life, and he is widely regarded as the public face of the movement.
In the 2024 Senate elections he was elected to the Senate of Pakistan from Punjab, taking office on 9 April 2024. In January 2026 he was designated Leader of the Opposition in the Senate. In his public role he has emphasised themes of Shia-Sunni unity, interfaith harmony and opposition to sectarian violence and extremism.
As a religious figure, Jafri is known for delivering majalis and lectures, particularly during Muharram and other commemorative occasions in the Shia calendar. His addresses are circulated widely through his official YouTube channel and social media pages, and he remains a regularly cited voice on matters concerning Pakistan's Shia community.
