Biography
Mir Hasan Mir is a Pakistani noha khwan, manqabat reciter and poet, celebrated for his distinctive melodic style of recitation. He was born in 1976 and has become one of the most popular contemporary reciters of nohas and manqabats in the Shia community.
Known for composing and reciting his own kalam, Mir Hasan Mir releases new nohas each year for Muharram, as well as manqabats for the birth anniversaries (wiladat) of the Ahl al-Bayt and during Ayyam-e-Fatimiyya. His recitations blend classical poetry with contemporary composition.
He performs at majalis and azadari programmes across Pakistan and internationally, and maintains a large following through his official recordings and online channels. He recites primarily in Urdu.
